Town Sports 2019

Our annual town sports event was held on Tuesday 18th June 2019. It was a beautiful sunny day and it was great to see local primary schools; St. Mary's, Edenderry, Abercorn, Ballydown and ourselves participating and encouraging each other in these sporting events. Lots of parents came along to show their support, which was lovely to see.

All pupils tried their best and represented each school with pride.  It was an exciting competition and each school was allocated points for first, second, third and fourth places in the various running, throwing, jumping and relay events. Congratulations to St. Mary's who were the winners this year, Edenderry who were second and Bridge who came third.

A huge thank-you to all of our sponsors who ensured each school had lovely coloured t-shirts to wear on the day to represent their school or donated fruit, water or simply their much needed time and support. As always these events take some time to plan and organise and we like to thank all of the representatives from the five school and especially Mrs Whan who oversaw the organisation of it all this year. Thank-you to our dedicated Parents Group who provided refreshments on the day.
