Bridge Integrated Primary School

Educating resilient, reflective, resourceful, respectful learners

Michael Young, a past pupil of Bridge IPS, speaks about his successful business Tele Pizza.  He is also very excited about his new restaurant, The Vault, which is to open in Banbridge at the end of January.  We look forward to supporting this new business:-)

Every group was excited to 'listen and do' at Una Russell's stand where she had a wide range of models made from Jumping Clay.  Una is passionate about this product and her enthusiasm is contagious -  qualities which are necessary for any successful entrepreneur.

Fourteen-4 was established when Maire Mc Anearney & her daughter identified a need in the market and their business has really taken off.  They use a very clever slogan to promote their product, 'Staying in is the new going out' which prompted us to think the importance of a catchy strapline for our business ideas.

P7 Budding Young Entrepreneurs

Our sincere thanks to Tyler's mum Cathy Morrison for organising this workshop for us.  It was a very worthwhile morning providing opportunity to learn and most importantly be inspired.

We'd like to thank all those who gave up of their time to talk and share their experiences with us.

Pupils had the chance to come up with their own original ideas when put to the task of designing a brand new pen!!  They enjoyed considering what it could do, how much it would cost and how they could market it.

Stephen Green enjoyed telling pupils how he became a successful DJ and we in Bridge have enjoyed his DJ talents on many occasions.  He also coaches football and encouraged pupils to pursue careers in something they really enjoy doing!

Chris Fletcher manages between 50 and 60 members of staff who work in his No.7 restaurants in Newry and Craigavon.  Again his enthusiasm for his job was very apparent and he gave pupils some very useful advice when he said "Happy staff make good workers" and he makes it his goal to keep all his staff very happy.
