Sponsored Half Marathon May 2014
The Parents’ Group of Bridge Integrated Primary School held a Sponsored Half Marathon at the School on Wednesday 21st May.
Pupils were invited to wear fancy dress or sports gear as they walked or ran a section of the 13-mile course. Lisa Hanna of Fit Banbridge launched the event with many of our dedicated and helpful parents assisting along the route, cheering pupils on. The sun shone and pupils all had great fun walking or running their section of the half marathon. A well deserved ice pop awaited pupils to reward their efforts at the end of the route!
Well done to everyone to walked or ran the half marathon and a huge thank-you to all of our amazing parents who organised the event or supervised on the day! Also we would like to say a huge thank-you to all of our supportive parents and wider family circles, who sponsored pupils and helped them to raise money. Please send money raised into school as soon as possible.
Funds raised will go toward buying a much needed PA system for the school. The new system, which will cost approximately £3500, will greatly improve sound quality at school assemblies and events such as PE and sporting activities, and Christmas performances.
