Bridge Integrated Primary School

Educating resilient, reflective, resourceful, respectful learners

ABC

In Bridge we have an activity-based classroom, known to all as ABC.  We are located in the freestanding building adjacent to the main school.  We are self-sufficient with our own kitchen and toilet facilities.  We have a busy classroom working area and also a small quiet room furnished with workstations to promote independence.

The Foundation and Key Stage 1 children who attend ABC, have the chance to enjoy a wide range of stories, nursery rhymes and related activities. We also have a lightbox to develop the fine motor skills needed for writing.

Key Stage 2 children attend a Lifeskills class for one session per week (approximately 90 minutes). As well as providing the children with the opportunity to cook, the lifeskills class helps to develop literacy and numeracy skills related to the practical tasks. The children work as a team, following instructions, and of course, they enjoy tasting what they have made!

Mrs Proctor and Mrs Morrow are the ABC teachers and we have lots of help and support from the classroom assistants on a rotational basis.
We enjoy working in a small group with our ABC friends!
