Science Week 2018

P3 pupils are scientists!

We linked recent Science experiments with Science week. These included How things change when heated and Best liquids for cleaning coins.

We predicted what would happen when we added heat. We photographed the changes to prove what happened.

We identified liquids which give best cleaning by examining coins before and after they were placed in a variety of liquids. We discussed why we needed to leave the coins in liquid for a length of time. We recorded the results.

Finally, linked to Integrated Education Month, everyone outstanding, we have also discussed Stephen Hawking’s contribution to Science (Physics – Black Holes.) We reflected on his ‘outstanding’ qualities and ability to overcome adversity.

Primary 3 have very busy and hard working classrooms:-

In Maths we have been learning about capacity.

We can identify if containers are full, half full, a quarter full or empty.
