P.6 Fairtrade Bun Sale

On Thursday 30th March P.6 held their annual Fairtrade bun sale to conclude their WAU topic: Fairtrade.  All the P.6 pupils and their dedicated parents were kept busy on Wednesday night baking a huge variety of delicious buns.  The smell in the resource areas was just too tempting to resist.  P.6 pupils organised themselves into groups and everyone had at least two roles to do on the day from setting up the resource areas, photographers, stock checkers, hosts, raffle ticket sellers and of course selling the buns.

P.6 teachers were so impressed by how well the pupils worked as a team and we were absolutely amazed by the generosity of parents both in making the buns and by buying the buns. We raised a total of 619 pounds.

Pupils in all classes and of course staff enjoyed eating the delicious buns for their break.

A huge thank-you to everyone who supported our bun sale and of course to the P.6 parents and pupils for all of their hard work!

A huge thank-you to Carla Rooney who made an amzing Fairtrade cake for our raffle. The cake was won by our clerical officer Rosaleen Hogg.
