P6S Enjoy Coding Workshop by iTeach

On Wednesday 9th December P.6S enjoyed an excellent computer coding workshop by Michael from iTeach.  Mr Scowcroft entered a competition and won this workshop for his class. Pupils had hands on experience working with coding apps on the iPads.  They got to find out about how coding is used within real life contexts and most importantly had lots of fun exploring the apps and trying out some simple coding for themselves.  The highlight of  the afternoon was when Matthew got to programme a drone to fly and create a square in the air - awesome! Now that P.6S have become more skilled in this area they are going to partner up with pupils from P.6T and share their new knowledge and skills.
